is UB's only student-run publication that is dedicated to publishing student poetry. It is sponsored by the English Department, Charles Bernstein and the Gray Chair, and Robert Creeley and the Capen Chair.To submit to name, please bring up 3 pages of poetry or experimental fiction to the Undergraduate Office in 303 Clemens. Please paperclip (do not staple) your pages together and include (on a separate sheet) your name and contact information.
name accepts song lyrics, text-based art, prose-poetry, poetry in other languages, experimental fiction, and anything else that could possibly qualify as creative writing. We cannot publish any more than 3 pages of work by one author, so please choose your submissions carefully. All submissions are due by November 1.
We are also interested in hypertext work. Any page-based work that is difficult to format and any hypertext poetry can be submitted electronically
here. Hypertext poetry and prose will be on display here at the EPC later this fall.The magazine will be available on December 1 at a reading for all published poets at Rust Belt Books (on Allen & Elmwood near Cybele's - 202 Allen St.) and on December 2 at an show for visual poetry at the Cornershop Gallery (82 Lafayette). These events are on the Wednesdays at Four Plus calendar put out by the UB Poetics Program. After these two shows, which include refreshments, issues of name will be available in 303 Clemens.
