Ed. Stmt: _The Gig_ publishes experimental poetry from the US, Canada,
UK and Ireland, with an especial focus on the last two.  It presents
substantial selections of poets' work in a modestly produced but
well-designed chapbook (about 60-64pp).  There is also one essay in
each issue, and a short reviews section. -- The magazine currently
does not take unsolicited submissions. -- There will be occasional
special issues, of which the first will be #4/5, the Peter Riley issue
(see below).
